The Northside Music Festival returns to Pittsburgh on July 18-20 featuring dozens of bands, art vendors and food trucks. The annual event, in its third year, features musicians from Pittsburgh and around the region, including many heard on WYEP.

Benjamin Soltesz, organizer of the Northside Music Festival, said the family-friendly festival gives attendees the chance to explore Pittsburgh’s North Side.

“It's not all in the street, we're also in a park and we're in a few indoor venues. But really when it gets down to it, it is just a summer weekend street party,” Soltesz said. “Northsiders are proud of the Northside. The immediate neighborhood is very supportive of the event and everybody kind of just thinks that it's great to kind of have something in our little part of the city over here.”

Venues range from roughly Cedar Avenue at the Allegheny Elks Lodge to food trucks on Foreland over to stages along East Street, including The Government Center. And, of course, there’s a WYEP stage at Allegheny City Brewing!

Each day offers a different experience for guests, with Sunday, July 20 featuring gospel musicians.

“I’m very appreciative of all the musicians and artists that want to continue, want to do it every year,” Soltesz says.
