MGMT's new music video 'Nothing to Declare' features Pittsburgh scenes

There's been much buzz surrounding the return of MGMT, with their new release "Loss Of Life," due out on Feb. 23. It will be their first release in six years and fifth studio record for the band. "Mother Nature" is the first single from the recording — and is their best single in a decade.

What caught my attention recently was a video for another song from the record, just released, called "Nothing To Declare," which begins with several scenes shot in Pittsburgh and eventually ending up in Paris.

The video stars Inga Petry, who is a TikTok influencer who is known for spreading awareness of the disability community. Petry was born with upper limb aplasia, and is currently studying at the University of Pittsburgh.

The video for "Nothing To Declare" has her visiting many spots in Pittsburgh, including Mount Washington with an incline in the background, and eventually the Pittsburgh International Airport before landing in Paris and facing the Venus de Milo.

Music Director Kyle Smith found his way to Pittsburgh via Burlington, Vermont in 1998. Smith’s career in radio has spanned over 30 years and numerous genres, including news and sports. He found his home in the AAA format at Alternative Rev105 in Minneapolis.
