Talujon Percussion with Jamie Jordan & Franz Nicolay
The New York based ensemble Talujon Percussion joins forces with Franz Nicolay (from the band The Hold Steady) and singer Jamie Jordan to present an eclectic program that includes songs by Nicolay, minimalist classics by the iconic American composer Frederic Rzewski, ambient electronic feedback music by composer/sound artist Paula Matthusen, and Mathew Rosenblum’s “We Lived Happily During the War” inspired by a poem by the Ukrainian American poet Ilya Kaminsky.
Co-presented by Music on the Edge and the Warhol Sound Series. Saturday, March 23rd, 8pm, at the Warhol Museum.
