New Mix: Bright Eyes, G-Side, Wire And More

After exploring folk- and country-flavored music on his last couple of albums, Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst returns to experimental rock and pop on the band's latest release, The People's Key. It's not due out until Feb. 15, but we've got a sneak preview on this week's episode of All Songs Considered. You can also hear why producer Robin Hilton thinks The People's Key is the best thing singer Conor Oberst has ever recorded.

Also on the program: the haunting harmonies of singer Julianna Barwick, Alabama hip-hop duo G-Side, the crazy sounds of avant -arde saxophone player Colin Stetson, rediscovered psychedelic rock from Zambia and new music from the veteran English post-punk band Wire.
