WYEP Remembers: David Crosby

Outspoken folk rock trailblazer David Crosby died on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at the age of 81. Known for his work with The Byrds, CSN&Y (Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young), and CPR (Crosby, Pevar & Raymond), David Crosby’s work and collaborations always showcased Crosby’s unique vocal chemistry with others. Crosby has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: for his work in The Byrds as well as with Crosby, Stills, & Nash.

On Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 8:00 pm, WYEP paid tribute for one-hour to one of the signature voices of the ’60s and ’70s, featuring music from Crosby’s career with The Byrds, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and various CSNY incarnations. We also heard tracks that David Crosby sang and played on from Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and more. Gretchen Unico hosted WYEP’s hourlong tribute.

Below are some of the notable tributes to David Crosby.
