March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor the contributions and achievements of women. WYEP has invited some friends from the Pittsburgh music community and beyond to tell us about the women whose music they’re celebrating this month. Listen for those special features throughout the month.
Tuesday, March 8 is the 111th anniversary of International Women’s Day. WYEP will be playing all women artists or female-fronted bands, from legends like Joni Mitchell and Mavis Staples to newer artists like Mitski, Yola, and Billie Eilish. Tune in from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as we celebrate International Women’s Day.
