Pittsburgh Artist of the Week: Anne Feeney

Our Pittsburgh Artist of the Week is Anne Feeney. Sometimes it takes a while to find your calling. Legendary Pittsburgh musician and activist Anne Feeney worked as a lawyer for over a decade before deciding that she could make a bigger impact in the world through music. Her songs have been sung by activists all over the world and her anthem for civil disobedience, "Have You Been to Jail for Justice?" was even recorded by Peter, Paul, and Mary.

This week, there’s a memorial planned for “Pittsburgh’s Hellraiser” at the Heinz History Center and at Mr. Smalls Theater.

Joey Spehar is a Pittsburgh native who started as a volunteer D.J. at WYEP, fresh out of college in 2006. He took on any job they’d let him do like editing audio, engineering remote broadcasts, and shoveling snow.
