Member Event Registration & Cancellation Policies

Throughout the year, 91.3 WYEP welcomes artists in-studio for Live & Direct sessions. For the majority of these performances, a studio audience is present, comprised of WYEP members. However, with roughly 6,000 members and a limited capacity, we have instituted some policies that we hope will ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all who are interested in this exclusive member benefit.

Registration policies:

For in-studio sessions:

About a week prior to the event, sustaining members of WYEP will receive an advance invitation to register via email. If the event is open to all membership, on-air promotions for the event will begin and all other WYEP members may register by going to WYEP.org and clicking on the event block. (If the block does not route to a registration page, the event is either already full or is not a member audience show.)

In the event that interest in a session exceeds capacity, a “lottery system” will be used to compile the list of attendees. Other interested parties are added to a waitlist. Members are notified of their status by email a few days prior to the event (exact timelines may differ, depending on circumstances of the event).

Cancellation policies:

Members who receive confirmation but then cannot attend are asked to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, allowing us to offer their open seat to someone else.

No-shows, members who do not cancel within 24 hours’ notice or who have multiple cancellations will be excluded from the lottery for six months. Habitual offenders will be excluded indefinitely.

COVID-19 safety:

At this time, visitors to the Community Broadcast Center are not required to provide proof of vaccination. Face masks are optional for this event. Please note that this could change upon the artists’ request; masks will be provided by the station if needed. In the future, masks may be required by an artist or by Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting when Allegheny County’s COVID-19 Community Level are “high.”

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
