The New Young Women of Country - Katie Armiger with Sydney HutchkoOpening the 2012-2013 Performing Arts Series is country music newcomer Katie Armiger, young at heart with her vocals proving otherwise. Katie has earned the title of the Highest Charting Independent Female Artist of 2008 on R&R with "Unseen," and set a record for the highest debut for a solo independent artist since 2003 on the Music Row chart with her debut single, "17 in Abilene," in 2007. Katie has continued since then gaining more ground and taking a firm foothold in the Nashville scene. Opening for Katie is emerging artist, Sydney Hutchko, a vocal powerhouse who was born and raised here in Butler and is now pursuing a career in Nashville.
