Juliana Hatfield and Nada Surf's Matthew Caws have come together again to form Minor Alps.  The pair have worked together in the past.  In 2008, Caws was featured on the Juliana Hatfield track "Such a Beautiful Girl.  That same year Hatfield was featured on the Nada Surf b-side "I Wanna Take You Home.  Needless to say the two musicians have good chemistry.

Juliana Hatfield commented on the spawning of Minor Alps, “We eventually asked each other to sing harmonies on songs on each other’s records.  Over the last few years, we’ve taken turns suggesting we do something together. The timing was right for both of us this year, so away we went.”

The Minor Alps record was recorded mainly in Hoboken, NJ with Caw's childhood friend Tom Beaujor.  The debut Minor Alps record, Get There is due to be released on October 29th via Barsuk.  The duo will be hitting the road in November in support of Get There.  You can check out Minor Alps' tour dates below.
