2020 Singer-Songwriter Competition
After several months of social distancing, we're sure that the musicians of Pittsburgh have more exciting material to show us than ever before. Enter the 2020 Singer-Songwriter competition. While we won't be taking our typically roving contest on the road this year, this is your home for the virtual version of our hunt for southwestern Pennsylvania's most talented singers and writers.
Join us right here every Thursday from Sept. 3-24 to watch the stream as 91.3 WYEP's own Liz Felix hosts area singer-songwriters competing to make it to the finale on Oct. 8.
First Prize: $500, A fully produced audio track from Sean McDonald at Red Medicine Recording Studio, a photoshoot with Renee Rosensteel, a consultation session with Jeff Betten at Misra Records, an on-air Local 913 feature on 91.3FM, and performance opportunities as public health and safety allow.
Second Prize: $350, performance opportunities as public health and safety allow.
Third Prize: $150, performance opportunities as public health and safety allow.

- September 24, 2020-Round 4
Judges: 91.3 WYEP Production Director Brian Siewiorek, Alex Neal of The Thunderbird Cafe and Mary Kay Riley, 2019 competition winner.
