Host Bio

Erin Dawes began her radio career at Ohio University’s All Campus Radio Network, The Rock Lobster in 1998. It was at ACRN where she hosted an electronic/dance show The Y2K Connection for 3 years. She also served on the ACRN executive board as Traffic Director her senior year. After graduation, Erin ventured to Nashville, TN where she interned for Sony Music Nashville. She worked in the Epic Promotions division, handling correspondence from country music radio executives across the country. In 2005, she moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to her family and friends. It was in 2008 that Ms. Dawes found out about a radio volunteering position at WYEP and began filling in on the Evening Mix. In 2010, Erin became a host for The Block Party until summer of 2017. She since has been the host of The Coffeehouse. Erin’s passion for music extends beyond radio as she has been a drummer for over 20 years. She’s currently plays drums in Pittsburgh’s riot-grrl, surf rock band Go Go Gidget and Brazilian Samba percussion ensemble Timbeleza, where she serves as one of their directors.
