Rollin' and Tumblin'
HOSTED BY Rob O'Friel
Rollin And Tumblin is a three hour tour through history of electric and acoustic Blues. It's Saturday night so expect up tempo, hard hitting cuts by pioneers like Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor and Howlin Wolf alongside brand new Blues from contemporary artists like Walter Trout, Ana Popovic and Keb Mo.
Plus we highlight the many talented local artists making the Pittsburgh Blues scene.
Along the way you'll learn a little about the artists, the songs and The Blues.
Electric and Acoustic, Chicago, Delta and Texas Blues. Swamp Blues, Swing Blues, Hill Country Blues. So much Blues, you're gonna need two radios!
Listen to the Show
It's a great night for the Blues! Since Sept 3, 2011 when Rollin And Tumblin debuted I've greeted the loyal WYEP listeners with that phrase each Saturday night. It's truly been a privilege presenting our audience a lineup mixed with songs and artists they know and love, and introducing them to new ones to add to that list.
