WYEP's Tribute to Leon Russell


Leon Russell, the writer of songs like "A Song For you" and "Delta Lady," died on November 13, 2016, at age 74. Although the gravelly-voiced singer and songwriter was known primarily as a recording artist, but he was a top-notch keyboardist and session musician who played on a dizzying array of familiar songs over the years. WYEP paid tribute to Russell's musical legacy in this hour of music on which he wrote, created, or performed.
