A&R Executive David Anderle Loses Battle with Cancer at age 77

    After a 35 year career famous A&R executive David Anderle has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 77. Anderle began his career at Auto Stereo helping labels to transfer their catalogs to the 8- track format. After becoming west coast talent director for MGM, Anderle pushed to sign Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention to Verve records, and over his career he has worked with such artists as the Beach Boys, Sheryl Crow, Aaron Neville and many more. As well he was in charge of film music while working for A&M and worked with such films as Pretty In Pink, Good Morning Vietnam, and The Breakfast Club. After retiring in 1999 Anderle spent time becoming an accomplished portrait artist. Anderle passed away on Monday September 1, 2014. Read more here.
