Saturday, April 5th marked the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death. On April 5th, 1994 Nirvana's front man took his life at 27 years old in his Seattle home. Had Cobain not taken his life, he would be 46 years old today. Sachs Media Group commissioned an age progression for Kurt Cobain of what he would look like: This past weekend, various artists paid tribute to Cobain's death, performing live covers of Nirvana songs. At Lollapalooza Brazil in Sao Paolo, Muse covered one of Nirvana's classic songs, "Lithium". Coincidentally, this same night St. Vincent performed "Lithium" in Chicago Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday, April 10 in New York City, an event that is open to the general public for the first time. Nirvana bassist, Krist Novoselic has brought up the fact that the remaining members of Nirvana may be performing at the ceremony.
