Delta Spirit "Into the Wide"

California hasn’t been just home to Delta Spirit, it’s been the inspiration for their first three albums. Into The Wide, written while the band transitioned to living on the East Coast, provided new challenges. Working in a renovated studio in Brooklyn dubbed the “Rat Cave,” band members began incorporating their new environs into the music. Jagged edges crept into their Americana roots, replacing sunny chords with heavier rock influences. Singer Matt Vasquez continues to create story-lines that explore the mystery of romance, the pull of darkness, the damage of bullying, and the toll of war.
