modern songs that prominently feature harpsichord
::: Wednesday October 12th :::
The harpsichord, also known as a cembalo, is an instrument played through a keyboard. It produces sound by plucking a string when a key is pressed. The harpsichord was widely used in Renaissance and Baroque music. During the late 18th century it gradually disappeared from the musical scene with the rise of the piano. It has made a resurgence within the last hundred years. You will often hear harpsichord used in historically informed performances of older music, in new compositions, as well as in popular music.
Today our focus is on the harpsichord. We're looking for modern songs that prominently feature this classic instrument for today's Daily Feedback.
