Member Event Registration and Cancellation Policies

Member Event Registration and Cancellation Policies

Throughout the year, 91.3 WYEP welcomes artists in-studio for Live & Direct sessions. For the majority of these performances, a studio audience is present, comprised of WYEP members. However, with more than 5,000 members and a limited capacity of about 60, we have instituted some policies that we hope will ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all who are interested in this exclusive member benefit.

Registration policies:

About two weeks prior to the event, sustaining members of WYEP will receive advance invitation to register via email. Once on-air promotions for the event begin, all other members may register by going to and clicking on the event block on the front page. (If the block does not route to a registration page, the event is either already full or is not a member audience show.)

In the event that interest in a session exceeds capacity, a “lottery system” will be used to compile the list of attendees. Other interested parties are added to a waitlist. Members are notified of their status by email about a week prior to the event (exact timelines may differ, depending on circumstances of the event).

NEW: Effective July 1, 2018, a “standby list” will provide opportunity for a second tier of members who don’t make the attendance list. Members on standby will be invited to come down to the Community Broadcast Center and will be admitted to the performance in the event of no-shows. Please note: while we will do our best to accommodate everyone, standby status does not guarantee attendance.

Cancelation policies:

Members who receive confirmation but then cannot attend are asked to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, allowing us to offer their open seat to someone else.

No-shows, members who do not cancel within 24 hours’ notice or who have multiple cancellations will be excluded from the lottery for six months. Habitual offenders will be excluded indefinitely.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
