It’s the perfect place to buy local and shop handmade for the holidays! Handmade Arcade, Pittsburgh’s award-winning independent craft fair, returns on Saturday, December 7th, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, located at 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Celebrating “A Decade of DIY” with its 10th anniversary event, and its fourth appearance at Downtown’s centrally located and eco-friend- ly Convention Center, Handmade Arcade is the shop-local experience of the 2013 holiday season—with 150 innovative craft vendors from Pittsburgh, the region and the country coming together for the market’s largest show to date.
Pittsburgh’s first and largest independent craft fair, Handmade Arcade was founded to provide grass- roots, independent crafters with an opportunity to show and sell their wares to the public, and to create an annual alternative to traditional craft and fine art fairs in Pittsburgh. Every year, the event’s planning group receives approximately 350 applications from around the region and country, which are carefully reviewed by a volunteer committee as well as by guest jurors including artists from the Pittsburgh community.
