DelFest is bluegrass legend and multi-Grammy award winner Del McCoury’s annual festival. DelFest 2020 will take place on Memorial Day weekend (May 21-24) and once again be held at the beautiful Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland.
This year's lineup includes St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Travelin’ McCourys, Punch Brothers, Molly Tuttle, Anders Osborne & Jackie Green, Mandolin Orange, Bela Fleck, Billy Strings, and of course Del McCoury himself, amongst others.
Nestled along the Potomac River in the scenic Appalachian Mountains, and personally chosen by Del, the Allegany County Fairgrounds (2.5 hours from Baltimore and D.C.) serves as the perfect location for DelFest. The fairgrounds are conveniently located near four major airports and can be easily reached by rail or road. The city of Cumberland, MD, is a welcoming host offering multiple hotel options, a charming downtown with Victorian architecture, and great amenities that include biking, a steam train engine and museum, and top-notch dining.
The festival originated from the desire to create a family-friendly music festival celebrating the rich legacy of McCoury music while creating a forum for world-class musical collaborations and to showcase fresh new talent with a down-home feeling.
