Customizable Group Experiences

We open the doors to our state-of-the-art station for our Customizable Experiences to educate students about the radio industry. These experiences are unique and can be tailored to each group's specific needs. Groups of all kinds--from Cub Scout Troops to professional associations--can spend 30 minutes to a whole day at the station hosted by the Education & Community Engagement staff. The Community Broadcast Center is a LEED-certified facility built in 2006. It is home to Pittsburgh's only public radio partnership--both 91.3fm WYEP and 90.5fm Essential Public Radio broadcast from the same building. Students can tour the WYEP studios and receive a crash course in radio production while engaging with the knowledgable staff at the station. Perfect for middle and high school field trips!
