Erin Dawn "Scratchy" Hutter Fiddler For Slim Forsythe Dead At 48

 

Erin Dawn "Scratchy" Hutter was an accomplished local musician and music educator. Hutter had 20 years experience educating local students in music and performed with many local musicians including the Butler Symphony, The Deliberate Strangers and Slim Forsythe, with whom she was featured in a WYEP Third Thursday performance.

I talked it over with the Hutter Family tonight and they are very thankful for all the love and kind words and remembrances wingin' their ways through Cyberspace. Next Friday, November 7th will be "Scratchy's Wake" at Nied's Hotel as we celebrate her life and music. Music will start at 7:00 with a set by the Stillhouse Pickers. Then they will back me up on the "Slimgrass" set! Then...Set 3 has been officially declared an Open Jam. Bring your instrument and help us sing her Home.
