WYEP's Top 100 Songs from the 90's

This summer we asked WYEP listeners to vote for their 10 favorite songs from the 1990's. We tallied the votes, and turned the list into a countdown show that aired on Labor Day. Comments

Life's progressed and things have certainly become more hectic for all, but it was great to stop everything for a few hours on Labor Day and stoke the memory machine. Remarkably, the songs still stand up quite well, something back 1990 that I wouldn't have bet on. Maybe there's something to the odd-numbered decades?

We cannot burn a cd of songs for purchase. The show will be available to listen to in Real Audio in our On Demand section of our website sometime soon.

Thanks

Will this be turned into a CD I could purchase?

You should create an itunes playlist for this. I think there is some way to login to itunes and publish a public playlist so other people can just grab it and make it their own playlist.

Is anyone else currently comparing this list to the 913 essential songs? It's interesting to see how they match up, especially because the 90's songs don't appear in the same order in the 913 essential songs. Also, it's a clue as to what might be coming.

Policy of Truth by Depeche Mode is on the list, but not Enjoy The Silence (same artist)!
How is that possible? :D
