WYEP Studio Session: Dry the River
May 22nd, 2012 The East London-based act Dry The River were guests at the WYEP Community Broadcast Center and performed songs from their full length debut Shallow Bed. Lead singer Pete Liddle talked about the band’s background in punk and prog-rock and about their evolving sound that crosses somewhere between epic folk and rock. Pete’s background in studying anthropology and medicine influences many of his songs that are touch on common themes of love, frustration, and joy. Shallow Bed was produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) and the release includes some guest appearances by members of Beirut and The National on brass sections.
