Luna's Dean Wareham plays Guest DJ

The band Luna reunited in 2015 after a ten year hiatus, and the group recently released their first new album in almost thirteen years.  A Sentimental Education, is an album of covers of songs by Fleetwood Mac, The Cure, David Bowie and others.  In advance of their Fall 2017 tour, WYEP's Brian Siewiorek talked with Luna's singer and guitarist, Dean Wareham. He talks about the new album and also picks out a few songs to play as guest DJ.  Wareham's DJ picks include a haunting cover by Glen Campbell, a British song/poem and a 1976 Australian Pop Hit. Original air date: 11/13/17

Hear an outtake from the interview where Wareham talks about the "Fire in Cairo" video starring Rose MacGowan and the band's ongoing friendship with Eleanor Friedberger of The Firey Furnaces:
