Is it a Jeff Tweedy solo album? Not quite. It's a side project the Wilco frontman recorded with his 18 year-old son Spencer on drums. The double album is a little sonically spare by Wilco standards, but that doesn't mean it doesn't range from punky angst explorations to angular roots music—and that's just in the album's first two tracks. The album features contributions from Scott McCaughey and members of the band Lucius. While Sukierae occasionally feels like you're listening in on an experiment, it's mostly a wide-ranging but solid collection of tunes that is enjoyable by any Wilco fan.
