Blind Pilot "And Then Like Lions"

In the five years since Blind Pilot’s last album, singer/songwriter Israel Nebeker suffered the loss of his father and the collapse of a 13-year relationship. He spins these experiences into meditations on bereavement and emotional healing, reflecting the sentiments in his music. Songs begin with lean acoustic arrangements that build into sprawling indie-folk melodies. Nebeker’s lyrics often speak directly to his father, asking questions that go unanswered. Closure comes in the title track as he poignantly borrows his father’s own words.
